Apple’s ‘Underdogs’ Ad Highlights Macbook Security with iPhone in the Starring Role

Apple launched a YouTube short film series called ‘The Underdogs’ four years ago, which showcased a group of four colleagues utilizing various Apple products and demonstrating their latest functionalities. Over a year ago, the third installment of the series was released, focusing on escaping the office environment. Today, Apple unveiled the fourth video titled ‘Swiped,’ emphasizing the crucial security features that safeguard devices such as iPhone, Macbook, and others against theft and unauthorized use.

The video starts with four familiar faces from The Underdogs trying to get ready for the reunion. And suddenly one of his teammates Macbooks is swiped. The rest of the video focuses on locating the Macbook and getting to the meeting on time. You can watch the video here.

Throughout the video, the teammates also use various security features of Apple products to secure and locate the device. In fact, the video practically walks the viewer through the step-by-step process of finding a lost Apple product. Some of the features used by teammates are as follows.

  • Notify When Left – This feature allows you to set your iPhone so that any other Apple product will sound an alarm when it is left in an unknown location.
  • Find My – Once set up, you can locate a lost device or item, such as paired AirPods, an Apple Watch, or a personal item that has an AirTag attached to it.
  • Family Sharing – This feature allows you to share your location with family members in Find My or Messages. You can also help family members find their lost device.
